Antonietta Collins

Antonietta Toni Gonzalez-Collins is an Mexican American broadcaster. She works for ESPN and works as the SportsCenter News Anchor. Her first assignment with ESPN in the year 2016. The child of the journalist on television Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta Collins was bilingual since the age of nine years old. It was a helpful ability that allowed her to secure her first job as a production assistant for Univision in Miami which allowed her to work with the producers of national shows like Nuestra Belleza Latina, Premios Lo Nuestro Premios Juventud and Primer Impacto. Her next job was as reporter for sports at the CBS St. Petersburg Affiliate. She moved in 2009 into Rio Grande Valley, Texas to become a news reporter for The Spanish station KNVO TV 48 Univision and Fox2 News. In 2009, she relocated to Rio Grande Valley in Texas in which she was a reporter for KNVO 48 Univision as well as Fox2 News. She would also fill in occasionally as a weather and sports anchor. Deportes 23 is Univision Dallasstation, which is where she has more responsibility. She did pieces on the Major League Baseball's ALDS ALCS and World Series the Dallas Cowboys the NBA postseason and the NBA Finals FC Dallas and the Dallas Stars. The Univision 23 channel also produced her local sports channel Accion Deportiva Extra, on which she acted as anchor. She was promoted as anchoring sports to Despierta America Deportes' morning show. The same role she also worked for Primer Impacto (a network magazine) as well as Contacto Deportivo (a UniMas Network sports show). Antonietta's parents hail from Veracruz Mexico. The family moved to Mexico City where she was born on the 22nd of November, 1985. There is an older sister. There is an older sibling. She divorced her parents shortly thereafter and, in the year 1995, she got married to an naval designer by the name of Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo passed away in 2006 from kidney cancer. It was during a time of summer when she was with her younger sister in Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl had gotten a job. Antonietta was a senior high school student, but she had a clear idea of what she wanted to do in her future career. She went to Mount Union University in order to find out if the school was suitable for her. In the end, she fell in love with the campus. They also offered her a major. After completing the requirements for high school, she enrolled in the university to study media studies. Mark Bergmann was her professor and also the head of WRMU and WRMU, which she's a member. They formed a strong connection. Mark Bergmann was the person who instilled her faith and confidence, as well as whose enthusiasm in Journalism touched her deeply. In turn, she determined to meet his demands and never let him down.
